Speaker Bio

Allison Fine is a Senior Fellow on the Democracy Team at Demos:  A Network for Change and Action in New York City. She is the award-winning author of Momentum:  Igniting Social Change in the Connected Age (Wiley & Sons, 2006). Fine is known for thinking and writing about the intersection of social media and social change and serving as a bridge between technologists and nonprofit leaders. She is also the author of Social Citizens, a paper commissioned by the Case Foundation about young people and activism, and the editor of Rebooting America, a collection of essays on transformative ways to reinvent 21st century democracy using new media tools. Allison hosts a monthly podcast for the Chronicle of Philanthropy called Social Good and writes her own blog, A. Fine Blog. She was the C.E.O. of The E-Volve Foundation and the Founder and Executive Director of Innovation Network, Inc.
