Psychologist, neuroscientist and professor Drew Westen is best known for his latest book, The Political Brain, for his insightful political and psychological commentary on current affairs, and for his decade-long role as commentator on National Public Radio's hit show, All Things Considered. He is a prolific writer, having authored three books, over 150 scholastic publications, and numerous articles for popular media outlets, including The Washington Post, The New Republic, and The Huffington Post. Westen founded Westen Strategies, LLC, a political and corporate consulting firm, through which he has advised a range of candidates and organizations, including presidential and congressional campaigns, major progressive organizations, and Fortune 500 companies. He has taught at a number of institutions including the University of Michigan, Harvard Medical School, and Boston University, and is currently a Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at Emory University.
What is your momentum? I have two little girls, and I want to leave them with a world as safe, exciting, and full of opportunities as the one I inherited.
