The head of Green for All believes this is the moment, and our movement needs to take advantage of it. A stirring and deeply personal presentation on organizing power by engaging community.
Phaedra Ellis-Lamkins is the Chief Executive Officer of Green For All. Since taking leadership in March, Ellis-Lamkins has steered the organization to a string of victories. Chief among these was assembling a civil rights coalition that successfully lobbied for two significant improvements to the House version of the American Clean Energy and Security Act: securing funding for job training, and guaranteeing broad access to clean energy jobs. Previously, Ellis-Lamkins led the South Bay AFL-CIO Labor Council in Silicon Valley. She also founded and led Working Partnerships USA, a national coalition to bring good jobs and community benefits to local economic development. That work earned Ellis-Lamkins a reputation as one of the nation's most brilliant, inspirational, and creative problem solvers for working families. She led successful efforts to expand job opportunities in the realm of green improvements, expand the living wage, and create one of the country's first Community Benefits Agreements.
What is your momentum? Improving the lives of working families in America by creating opportunities and access to work, wealth, and health.
