Speaker Bio

Robert Greenwald is an award-winning producer and director. His films include Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers (2006), Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price (2005), and Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism (2004). He is founder of Brave New Films, a new media company which uses moving images to educate, influence, and empower viewers to take action around issues that matter. And, he is president of Brave New Foundation, which champions social justice issues through the use of media, education, and grassroots volunteer involvement. The filmmaker's latest undertaking is a series of short viral videos including Fox Attacks: Iran and The Real Rudy, which were seen online by more than 840,000 people within weeks of distribution and have garnered over 7.5 million views. His political documentaries, television movies, miniseries and feature films have received extensive awards and nominations. He was also awarded the 2002 Producer of the Year Award by the American Film Institute and has been honored for his activism by several organizations.
